Writer
Carol Walsh is a Dublin-based writer who got her start as a storyliner on the long-running RTÉ soap, FAIR CITY. Here, she contributed to the story team for several years and was also the scriptwriter for three episodes over 2015/ 2016. She won the Funny Women Comedy Writing Award in 2016 and in 2018 she was selected to be part of the BBC Writersroom 2018 Comedy Room.
Carol has written extensively for teen and YA audiences. She served as head writer and creator on the brilliant live action teen comedy drama LOUISE LIVES LARGE for Tailored Films and RTE which aired in 2024. She has developed original live action teen projects with BBC Studios Kids & Family and Tri Moon Films, and recently adapted a YA novel for Salt Beef TV.
Carol has developed original sitcoms and comedy dramas with The Comedy Unit, Can Can Productions, Hat Trick Productions, Channel 4 and Netflix. Carol currently has a new original comedies in development with Hat Trick Productions and Tailored Films.
