Fran Harris is a screenwriter and TV series creator, with a background in development and distribution at Warner Bros, Universal Pictures and 20th Century Fox.
Fran is currently developing an original, returnable action thriller for Firebird Pictures, and a returning drama series for Tall-Story. She is also adapting Dame Prue Leith’s novel A SERVING OF SCANDAL as a returnable TV series, produced by Leith’s production company, Relish Content. She has just finished development on an original, international crime thriller TV series for Fremantle, with Emmy winning Richard Yee and Krish Majumdar producing for Me+You. Fran has just written an episode on a new Channel 4 drama, produced by Tall Story Pictures, for broadcast 2026. She has also completed a two-episode development commission by RTÉ on her original relationship drama YES! Fran adapted Alex Hay’s critically acclaimed period heist novel THE HOUSEKEEPERS as a returnable TV series for Miramax. Before this, she was in Miramax’s writers room for the TV adaptation of Guy Ritchie’s THE GENTLEMEN for Netflix.
Fran co-wrote Season 1 of the BBC’s police drama BLUE LIGHTS with Declan Lawn and Adam Patterson, produced by Two Cities TV. She was also in the writers room and wrote one episode for the RTÉ/BBC crime drama CLEAN SWEEP and the international crime thriller NORTH SEA CONNECTION, produced by Mopar Studios.
