Jo is an experienced preschool and 6+ scriptwriter who loves writing for kids. She’s the writer of 24 episodes of multi BAFTA and Emmy-winning Hey Duggee (Studio AKA/CBeebies). She’s currently writing on series 5 of Hey Duggee (Studio AKA) and series 4 of non-verbal show Oddbods for Moonbug Entertainment. She has also written for its spin-off property Minibods and for Pip and Posy S2 for Magic Light Pictures.

Jo’s funny, thoughtful scripts combine a skill in connecting to characters to mine heartfelt stories with a strength for silliness and comedy action.

Before she became a writer, Jo was a comedy producer in radio and television working on sitcoms, sketch shows and panel games. She’s written two novels, The Summer Holiday and Here Comes the Sun, but novels are hard, and lonely, and the people in kids’ TV are the best, so that’s her focus.
