Danny is a prolific writer/director in the kids/family genre. He has written for the multi-award-winning Hey Duggee for CBeebies (Series 1 & 2), Disney’s PJ Masks (Series 2-4), Hasbro’s Transformers: Rescue Bots Academy (Series 1 & 2), CBBC’s Roy (Series 1) and Thunderbirds Are Go! for CiTV (Series 1), amongst many others. He has co-written/directed the UK live-action family films, Who Killed Nelson Nutmeg? (world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival) and Future TX (2021), both with regular live-action collaborator Tim Clague. Danny & Tim also created Dog Years, the pre-school live-action TV show. Danny’s drama writing credits include EastEnders and Doctors, and he’s written/directed numerous short films, one of which, Origin, won Best Horror Short at the London Independent Film Festival. In 2007, Danny set up the Red Planet Prize with writer/producer Tony Jordan, and is regularly involved in mentoring and writing schemes for new writers.
