Ryan Vernava is a graduate of the Directing Fiction course at The National Film and Television School. He was awarded a prestigious David Lean Scholarship, a John Braybourne Award and the silver medal in Kodak’s worldwide student competition. His short films have screened at major festivals around the world in Seattle, Palm Springs, Atlanta, LA, New York, Tel Aviv, Cannes, Arizona, Chicago, Berlin and Kiev, as well as, making it onto British Airways & Emirates in-flight entertainment, Russian & American television and over 200 cinemas across the UK.
In addition to his work as a director Ryan has created promos and live visuals for various brands and music artists, curated and commissioned content for film festivals around the world and launched his own online magazine. His project ‘Century Tower’ was selected for London Film Festival’s Think-Shoot-Distribute development scheme singling him out as one of the UKs top 25 emerging filmmakers currently developing their first feature film.
He is currently working on his feature film script ‘Hackney Marsh’ a noir thriller set in East London.
