Richie Conroy is a comedy and drama writer from Kildare, Ireland. He has worked as a freelance writer for over 15 years on award-winning television series and feature films. Some of Richie’s recent credits include ‘Two by Two‘ which was released worldwide by eOne Entertainment (the sequel is currently in production), ‘Drop Dead Weird‘ (series 1 & 2), a live-action sitcom starring Pauline McLynn and David Rawle, and ‘Fran: Assistant Manager‘ which he co-wrote, directed and produced through his production company, Snowluke Pictures, and which was broadcast in Ireland, Canada, USA and Australia.

Richie’s first novel ‘Dialann Emily Porter: An Jailtacht‘ was published in 2018 and he has since been commissioned to write a follow-up. ‘Dialann Emily Porter: An Jailtacht’ is a comical diary of a teenager who is banished to the west of Ireland during her school holidays to learn Gaelic. The diary starts out in the English language before morphing into Irish. The film & TV rights have been optioned and a feature film is in development.
