Kate Scott is a scriptwriter, playwright, poet and award-winning children’s author. She has worked as a script editor on The Hive (Disney, S2), on the live-action show Dog Years, and on the film The Christmas Letter (narrated by Kate Winslet). Her children’s television writing credits include Chip and Potato, Superbuilders, Big and Small, Chuggington, Toot the Tiny Tugboat, The Hive, Minibods and Tulipop. Recent projects include developing a show to commissioned status with CBeebies with Blue Zoo and writing the script for one of the Big Picture Shows at Imperial War Museum North.

She is currently the Head Writer for a 52-episode animation series for Sky Kids. Kate’s stage plays have been performed in the Salisbury Fringe Festival, the Salisbury Playhouse Studio and the Pleasance Theatre, London. Her radio plays have been long- and shortlisted for various prizes, including the Nick Darke Award. She is also a published poet regularly heard on BBC Radio 4’s ‘Poetry Please’ and has had two short stories produced for radio.
