Danny’s a writer/director specialising in the kids/family genre. His writing credits include Thunderbirds Are Go (CiTV), Hey Duggee (Cbeebies), PJ Masks (Disney) and Octonauts (Cbeebies), amongst others. With Tim Clague, he co-wrote/directed the live-action family film Who Killed Nelson Nutmeg? It had its world premiere at the London Film Festival in 2015, and it’s available to stream/buy in the US and the UK. Danny has also written/directed a variety of short films. His supernatural thriller Origin won Best Horror at the London Independent Film Festival in 2012. For many years Danny was a story analyst for film companies such as Working Title, Pathe, Miramax, UK Film Council, Irish Film Board and more. He writes the popular blog, Scriptwriting In The UK, which inspired him to set up the Red Planet Prize, a scheme to discover new writers, with writer/producer Tony Jordan. Danny also created/co-hosts the monthly UK Scriptwriters Podcast, and is a regular visiting tutor/guest speaker for screenwriting courses/various events.
